A group program to connect with Mothers in the Ballarat region, to transform how we look at and respond to anger, guilt and shame, to redefine what a ‘Good Mother’ looks like, and to feel empowered to build a toolkit of strategies that align with your values.

  • An understanding of your anger, guilt and shame. Including why and how it shows up for you.

  • A toolkit of strategies and resources for the moment of anger, throughout the day and in reflection.

  • An understanding of the societal and cultural pressures of being a Mother and the ‘rules’ that perpetuate guilt and shame.

  • Confidence in your values and what is important to you.

  • Strategies for reconnection and repair in relationships.

  • A new view and perspective of anger

  • An understanding of where to go for support.

Important Information:  

  • Payment is required to secure your place, an invoice will be sent following registration.

  • This group is not appropriate if you are currently in acute mental health distress.

  • Release's content is based in psychological theories and interventions and it is delivered through education and skill training. The advice given is general in nature and not individually constructed to your specific circumstances.

  • This group is not a substitute for psychological intervention, therapy or counselling, however it may complement your individual therapy.

  • You may be eligible for rebates via a mental health care plan.

    • Please note that a client with a valid MHCP is entitled to up to 10 group therapy sessions per calendar year, provided that participation in the group program is considered complimentary to their individual treatment. This will entitle you to a $38.70 rebate per session under item number 80174.
